Jeremy Hill 20x30" "Stay Turnt" Painting Print
I grew up in Cincinnati and was raised as a Bengals fan. To this day, I still root on the black and orange and am loyal to my team. Jeremy Hill's rookie year was sensational (1,124 yards, 9 TDs) and his running style is a combination of speed and power, so I wanted to choose a pose that demonstrated both motion and strength and felt that this stiff-arm pose was the way to go. The tattoos would prove to be challenging but I didn't want to omit them. The Colts player is intentionally left fairly abstract with very little detailing. Wanting to do something different with the background and to mute the yellow backround, I went with a new technique for me that I had not tried before: the paint splatter technique. I love the way it turned out.
This painting took 38 hours to complete and the autographed original piece hangs in my studio.
